The inaugural release from Four Horsemen Studios, Mythic Legions 1.0, was announced in February of 2015 and shipped to fans in May 2016, and marked the launch of the highly successful action figure line. Funded through a Kickstarter campaign, this wave introduced 34 diverse figures from the world of Mythoss, including Humans, Dwarves, Orcs, Vampires and Demons, each belonging to one of ten factions, including the Army of Leodysseus and their rivals the Legion of Arethyr. The lineup included key characters such as Attlus the Conqueror, Gorgo Aetherblade, and Sir Gideon Heavensbrand, alongside Legion Builders like the Barbarian and Skeleton, allowing collectors to establish their own armies. The figures are known for their detailed sculpts and intricate paint applications, as well as the ability to swap parts between figures, enhancing customization through a technique called pop and swap. This wave set the standard for subsequent releases, establishing a dedicated fanbase and expanding the Mythic Legions lore with its unique characters and rich backstory.
